UNITED WAY ACTIONS:
· Implemented Homeless
Database on behalf of the homeless providers to capture information for
trending and program improvement.
· Secured federal funding of approx. $2 million
annually for homeless services and housing.
· Successfully advocated for an increase in state
reimbursement rates for youth providers.
· Funded 16 programs to address homelessness, such
as:
· Child advocates who provide support for
children housed in shelters.
· Outreach workers targeting youth runaways.
· Residential services for children unable to
reside with their families for various reasons.
