United Way to introduce 2005 Campaign Chairman during his tour of United Way's gift-in-kind warehouse
* United Way's 2005 Campaign Chairman is touring United Way funded programs in preparation for fall fund-raising.
* On May 23, tour will include a stop at United Way's Give Items of Value (GIV) Program warehouse where more than $2 million worth of donated items has been distributed to local nonprofits.

* Recognition of outstanding company fund-raising campaigns completed this fall.
* Announcement of total raised this year.
Background:
The fall campaign will help United Way of the Plains continue bringing people and resources together to address critical community issues such as care for the elderly, programs for youth at risk, support for families, disaster relief, and more. United Way raises funds, works with coalitions, writes grant requests, recruits volunteers and distributes gifts-in-kind for local agency programs. United Way also helps people find needed services through the United Way InfoLine and CareLink(tm) Online (at www.unitedwayplains.org) and helps match people to volunteer opportunities through the United Way Volunteer Center.
