UPDATE: United Way changes location of volunteer reception center

  •
  •

WICHITA, Kan. —United Way of the Plains asks volunteers to no longer report to the Oaklawn Activity Center. For Tuesday, April 17, volunteers should park at The Opportunity Project (TOP), 4600 S. Clifton, and report to Light House Community Church, 3401 E. 47th St.  The volunteer reception center will be open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Volunteers should be at least 14 years old. Some projects require volunteers to be at least 18 years old. Volunteers are asked to bring any tools they would like to use for the cleanup work.

To allow utility companies to complete their work, minimal volunteer opportunities are available at this time.

Volunteers wanting more information should call 2-1-1 (United Way’s 24-hour information line).
