Housing forum to be held Wednesday to cover federal housing programs that address local homelessness

• HUD Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program
• HUD Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program
Background:
The forum is sponsored by the Wichita/Sedgwick County area Continuum of Care Coordinating Team which addresses the needs of homeless persons. The group collaborates in planning for and providing a full range of outreach, housing (emergency, transitional, and permanent), and supportive services for homeless individuals. The current lead agency for the CCCT is United Way of the Plains. Other members are Advocates to End Chronic Homelessness, City of Wichita Housing and Community Services, Inter-Faith Ministries, Miracles Inc., Sedgwick County Homeless Program, Sedgwick County COMCARE Homeless Program, Team-Worx, The Salvation Army, United Methodist Open Door Ministry, USD 259 Homeless Liaison, and Wichita Children’s Home.
