2013 Needs Assessment Vol. 2: Needs Survey & Priority Study 2013 Needs Assessment Vol. 2: Needs Survey & Priority Study

The Needs Survey gathers data from three sources:

  • Community Respondents: a random sample of residents of the Wichita Metropolitan Statistical Area (e.g., Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey and Sumner counties) plus Reno County. NOTE: Kingman County was added to the Wichita MSA after the survey was conducted.
  • Community Leaders: elected and/or appointed government officials and presidents/chief executive officers from the area's largest businesses
  • Agency Executives: chief executive officers of social services agencies throughout the area

The Priority Study is a result of the reviewing needs assessment data to establish priorities for the allocation of United Way resources. This study will assist the United Way Board of Directors and various United Way committees in awareness, planning, funding, coordination and general provision of services to the community.
